This was professor Aldridge’s very first concert that I’ve attended. I was amazed by what a great orchestra a small town like Binghamton has! And I was very proud of my professor. This began my 3-year journey of following professor Aldridge to his every concert, cheering and yelling “THAT’S MY TEACHER!!!” from the audience.
(Professor Aldridge voice-over: *sigh* So that’s when it started…)
This comic also included Maestro Jose-Luis Novo, the conductor of Binghamton Philharmonic for many years. He has left the Binghamton Philharmonic by now- something I’m quite sad about. I’ve spent 3 very happy years in Binghamton, and some of the best memories are his concerts. I don’t even know where he is right now- there’s very little information I can find online- but I hope he is all well.
Oh yeah, by the way- the comic also features the very first (and only) appearance of the amazing jazz trombone player Alejandro (really long middle name blah blah blah) Espinosa, who was kind enough to drive me to the concert that day.
